Teeth hurt down when i bite on any kind of food? please help!?

okay, i have no loose teeth. i just went to the dentist a couple months ago (my mom said cavities take a long time to form, so i dont think i have a cavity) but when i bite down (on any food) my teeth hurt. it is on both sides of my teeth (the bottom teeth) and it feels like it is only on one tooth on each side. it goes away for a few weeks then comes back. i have been using sensitivity toothpaste, but i still have pain when i eat food. it is any kind of food: hot and cold, solid (like meat or chips and stuff like that) and liquid-ish kind of food lol, like mashed potatoes. what do you think this is? thanks so much for answering!

please help me with this!

it hurts to eat, and i do have to eat lol.

OK, we will first say that you don't use drugs on a recreational basis,,,is that right? Doing so can ruin teeth over time and what you describe is one of the often heard symptoms...However, moving along, if your gritting and grinding your teeth, especially at night when sleeping that could cause the reactions your experiencing, we call that issue "Stress" and it has an emotional basis. I also am assuming your of school age so that would make me believe that any Stress you might be having could be school grades or as we used to call it, "Puppy Love" only in your case I would have to believe it's on a more serious level than that. At any rate, if you have school or personal issues that are hard to deal with you need to talk to a trusted adult and resolve what ever it is that is bothering you. Gritting and grinding can ruin your teeth, your jaw joint and alter your personality. Your way to young to have to deal with such issues...I wish you well.
Reply:you have sesitive teeth, they make special kinds of mouthwash and toothpaste for that.
Reply:Well maybe u could go to the detest again.............. It could be that u have a gum infection or something................ It might be that one of ur teeth cavity or a infected tooth. I hope u feel better soon..............

Teeth really hurt after getting fillings?

I had some cavities filled within the last few weeks and while some of them were sensitive they're getting better. However, one area of my teeth hurts really bad. This area of teeth hurts all on their own even when I'm not eating or doing anything. I have been taking ibuprofen for them every 4 hours or so. I even woke up early this morning with my teeth hurting really bad. I realize some sensitivity after fillings is normal. But my other fillings don't hurt this bad. I do have another dentist appointment on April 9th for something else, but should I call my dentist sooner about this? And what might the problem be?

Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Teeth really hurt after getting fillings?
Your DDS might have exposed a nerve in the worset case serniro, or it could be something minor like the filling is to high. It is normal to have post op sensitvity up to 3 mo. after. One other reason is if they used a white tooth colored filling it could be either not harden properly or there could be an open margin, which can cause the pain I would contact you Dentist and go in and get it checked out.
Reply:Sounds like the dentist has somehow exposed a nerve. Go back and tell the dentist about the pain. You should be in any pain after fillings.
Reply:I had a dentist fill a tooth and not get all of the decay out once, and this caused infection to go straight to the nerve, had to loose the tooth, I would have someone check it out ASAP.
Reply:i would call the dentist and tell him what u told us.i just had a filling down yesterday and i dont feel it today at all.yes it was a little sensitive last night but its gone now.might be a piece of debris in the gumor tooth area u cant see
Reply:sensitivity to cold drinks is normal if you got an amalgam filling (metalic filling) and it would probably get better over a period of 3 weeks, but if you feel pain spontaneously and it wont go away then you better call your dentist for an appointment soon, this might be becuse you have an irreversibly inflamed pulp which will need root canal therapy or it might be postoperative sensitivity if you had a composite filling (tooth colored) in that case it will have to be redone.

Teeth hurt after getting fillings?

I got 5 fillings in the last few weeks and some of them hurt for a little while afterwards. They were sensitive to cold and heat. But they've been getting better. However, a couple other teeth started hurting 4 or 5 days ago. They hurt on their own when I'm not even doing anything, although they are sensitive to cold, too. I'm pretty sure I had a filling around the area that hurts. I've been taking ibuprofen for them the last few days. Should it be hurting like this? What might the problem be? These teeth didn't hurt at first after I got the fillings... it was maybe 4 or 5 days after that they started to hurt. I have another dentist appointment on April 9th. Should I just wait until then to ask my dentist about this?

I have several fillings and yes this is normal, you do want to tell your dentist about it at your next visit though in case it turns into a problem. the tooth was messed with a vibrated from all the drilling and the nerves in the tooth have to "calm" down, as well as adjust to a foreign piece of material. I had one tooth that hurt for about 6 months, not real bad, just a bit and it finally went away.
Reply:GET SOME CLOVES AND CHEW ON THEM .....THIS WILL TAKE AWAY THE PAIN AND YOUR BREATH WILL SMELL SWEET.
Reply:the same thing happend to me, but my dentist actually informed me that eating or drink really hot or cold things would hurt for a while, its normal

My teeth hurt so bad i cant take it?
The are several things that can make your teeth hurt, and it's hard to say without an exam which one it may be. It could be from a sinus infection. Since you had/have an ear infection, it's possible it has spread to a sinus cavity in your cheek. Since the nerves from the teeth also pass near by, the teeth could hurt as a result. You could also have a problem with one of the teeth as well. If you think the problem with the ear has returned, then go see the doctor. If the area around the cheekbone is feeling tender or hurts, the doctor would also be able to help. If it's not any of these, then the dentist would be your best bet. Either one can do an x-ray of that part of your face and very quickly be able to tell what is causing your pain.
Reply:Sounds like some kind of nerve problem with that tooth. The only over the counter meds that help me is Aleve or Exederin. Hope you feel better.

Teeth hurt!!!?

Ok so i had my braces changed and tightened yesterday and it hurts so much!!! It usually doesn't hurt but i can't bite down. I have been eating applesauce, yougurt, and pudding. I am soo hungry!! anyone have any ideas on other things i can eat or how to stop it from hurting? I take advil but it wares off too quickly. Please Help Me!!!!!!!!

Teeth hurt!!!?
Yeah, don't worry its not going to last very long. My teeth used to be sore every time after I went to the orthodontist to get my braces tightened.
Reply:Unfortunatly this is something that will just have to go away..keep taking Advil. But try eating more filling soft foods-pasta oatmeal mac n cheese. Good Luck
Reply:It might take a while but suck on piece of bread until they're soggy and you can swallow them. It will fill you up better and make you feel like you actually ate something. If you eat some ice cream it will stop it from hurting for a little bit, but nothing with something you have to chew in in like chunks of chocolate or pineapple.
Reply:extra strength anbesol or nighttime formula of it will give relief between doses of Advil. If it gets too bad call your orthodontist and he may prescribe something for the pain.
Reply:i suggest mashtadors bananas chew orbit or something soft to keep ur mind off the pain or think about sosmething calming to get ur mind off it so basekly think about puppys or kittens

Teeth hurt?

everytime i eat and take a bit, my teeth hurt and they feel kinda loose. does anybody know what this is? is it because of teeth protein? how can i fix this? thanks.

Teeth hurt?
i have been in the dental field for quite some times

you need to go and see a dentist asap

it could be periodontal disease and if you do not go you could lose all your teeth

sorry i do not want to scare you but it is very important for you to make an appointment

kisses
Reply:You might want to try some Sensodyne first, just to make sure you're not experiencing sensitive teeth. If the Sensodyne does not help, then see a doctor asap (the sooner the better).

Hope you do okay.
Reply:Is it your baby teeth? If it isn't go to the dentist! If it is, then, well, that's okay, your first set of teeth are meant to fall out.
